CHARTER OF THE EDUCATION COMMITTEE OF THE ISAER (4/29/2017)
The Education Committee will promote education initiatives in emergy and energy systems. It will do this by advertising upcoming emergy courses on the emergy website and by sending announcements to other websites. The ISAER does not expect to directly fund education initiatives, but it will encourage members to seek funding opportunities, and it will keep a record of successful initiatives on the website.
We encourage members to produce any of a range of courses. The courses should reflect the specialization and interest of the course organize(s).
Summary of goals:
- Advertising education initiatives on the Emergy Webpage
- Sending announcements to other websites
- Encouraging members to seek funding opportunities
- Keep a record of successful initiatives on the website (success stories), with photos, etc
Suggested education course topics include:
- Advanced fundamentals in Emergy or energy systems
- Introductory courses in emergy research
- Specialized topics in emergy research, e.g., urban emergy, tourism emergy
