ISEM Global Conference 2017
Jeju Island, South Korea: Sept 17-21, 2017
The International Society for Ecological Modelling Global Conference will be held Sept 17-21, 2017 on Jeju Island, South Korea. This global conference was the 21st biennial conference of the International Society for Ecological Modelling (ISEM) and brought together scientists from all professions and applications that deal with the use of ecological models and systems ecology.
As a way to get the Asia-Pacific Chapter off to a running start, Daeseok Kang and Dan Campbell organized a session entitled ‘Energy Systems Theory and Emergy Evaluation Applied to Analyze and Understand Changes in Ecological Systems’ as a symposium.
Tom Abel was honored to give his presentation in the opening full session of the conference, entitled Tertiary No More!: The Information Cycle and Global Process Ontology.
Emergy and systems ecology was on display on this beautiful island with a fascinating history. Our emergy hosts were wonderful, much thanks to Daeseok Kang and his students!
See you next time!
