As a Ph.D. in Sustainability Assessment and M.Sc. in Environmental Science, I possess advanced knowledge and experience to lead and perform multidisciplinary research aimed at solving challenges related to sustainable development. As lead researcher, I have acquired key experience by developing methods and tools to assess the sustainability performance of chemical processes and supply chains, as well as life cycle assessment, emergy and exergy analysis, environmental pollution mitigation, economics, and environmental law and policies. Also, I have the necessary knowledge to adapt, design, and apply conceptual assessment frameworks and tools used for environmental management at local, regional, and national levels, while considering interactions of physical, biological, ecological, technical, and cultural aspects. In the last year, I have gained experience in the public sector (as technical advisor for the municipality of Medellin, Colombia, for two secretariat dependencies: i) local specialist on solid waste management (circular economy and waste valorization) and ii) project leader in the development of strategies for technology and knowledge transfer in rural areas (aiming to strengthen supply chains and biobased economy). Regarding my personal aptitudes, I would like to highlight my responsibility, commitment, ethical principles, and teamwork capabilities, for facing new challenges.
